The names of the recipients will generally not be made known to the Partnership.
- Our purpose is to glorify God, not to take credit for our charity.
- Matt 6:2-4 - 2 "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- Consequently, we will provide the support through the churches rather than the Partnership so it can be communicated that it is provided by the love of Christ.
Since we have a limited ability to help what will be a multitude of families in need, confidentiality is critical so as not to create conflict. We will ask the churches to keep the process and the giving organization confidential as well to avoid any sense of preferential treatment. We want the award to be a blessing for the recipients, not a source of bitterness for those not selected.
